Read my first letter to you...

From:

Alice Gendron

Bordeaux, France

Monday 11:58 a.m.

Hi friend,

I know you are suffering from feeling like emotions control your life, but that you know, deep down, that there’s something you can do about it.

How do I know that about you?

Because I’m like you.

I get mad easily, I struggle to calm down, I react impulsively to what people say or do, I overshare, I get excited quickly, I get told I’m “too much”… I spent my whole life (almost 35 years!) feeling ashamed of the way my emotions seemed to control me.

But I’m done feeling ashamed.

I decided to learn to understand how emotions work in my ADHD brain to finally feel in control.

And I want you to join me.

Because I know you try your best but feel like you’re always failing, because I know you want to feel better and do better for the ones you love but feel like feelings are stronger than your will.

Because I know you regret things you did or said, how you hide your pain, how you guard yourself, how you feel so lonely, misunderstood by so many, including yourself.

I told you, I’m like you.

Together we will break this cycle.

How?

Just allow me to send you a letter each month.

For a long time, for me, emotions felt like a complete mystery. A giant, deep fog that I could not make sense of.

If you feel like this too, it's about to change, forever.

In each ADHD & Emotion Letter, we will detangle how our ADHD brain work. Piece by piece, I will guide you simply, with real-life examples and relatable doodles.

We’ll unpack things like why you explode suddenly, why little things feel huge, how impulsivity and shame are connected, and how to respond differently, with self-trust instead of regret.

I’m not a doctor, I’m not a scholar, I’m just a 35-year-old mother of a toddler, trying to make sense of her ADHD brain.

I promise to never make you feel bored or confused.

This will not feel like opening a 400-page “self-help” book filled with long and compact paragraphs leaving you zoning out and feeling defeated (how many times I felt like this reading a book is crazy).

As I told you, I’m not a doctor, but there’s one thing I do well (besides cinnamon-loaded apple pies): talking to ADHD brains.

I’ve spent the last five years creating content an writing books online to talk about ADHD to ADHD brains.

And I don’t want to brag (my imposter syndrome made me write this), but I’ve gotten good at it.

Each month you’ll take a moment, away from the digital world and all its dopamine traps, to read your ADHD & Emotions Letter.

With this paper letter in your hands (it’s printed on thick and soft cream paper), your brain will finally calm down and focus.

You’ll read it in one sitting, and experience a deeply satisfying sensation of having accomplished something.

Then you’ll let the letter sit on your desk or your kitchen counter, where other people in your household will be able to read it too (in full, or just a few bits here and there) to better understand the neurodivergent people they are, or live with.

You’ll share your letter with your friend, your mother, your brother, your father-in-law, your babysitter, your neighbor, or your kids’ teacher, so they will understand better how emotions and ADHD are connected, and so they will better understand you, and your family.

After a few issues, you might find yourself pausing instead of snapping. Saying what you need without guilt.

Your emotions will never feel like mysteries anymore.

And when you need it, you’ll be able to read it again (maybe in six months, maybe in two years) to find this specific section that helped you understand something important, because it won’t be lost in your crowded inbox.

When you receive your first issue, you’ll see that your ADHD brain loves paper, small paragraphs, and doodles.

With this unique combination, you’ll see that you can understand your emotions.

You were never the problem.

You just were never taught things the way you needed.

You don’t need more information, more educative reels, more infographic Instagram carousels, more catchy TikToks to understand your emotions.

You need a letter, once a month, tailored exactly for you and your unique brain.

This is not just a letter.

This is a self-care habit that will change your life.

I LIKE YOU!

I'm going to give you FREE access to a video course called...

UNDERSTAND YOUR ADHD SYMPTOMS MASTERCLASS

Retails at $250, but I wanted you to have it for free.

In just a moment you will have access to this ADHD symptoms masterclass and many different resources, for free, forever.

The ADHD Symptoms Masterclass contains content that I’ve never shared publicly. In the masterclass I guide you through the following:

  • Understand the 9 official hyperactive ADHD symptoms and how they impact your daily life

  • Understand the 9 official inattentive ADHD symptoms and how they impact your daily life

  • Understand 7 unofficial ADHD symptoms that a lot of people deal with without realizing it’s common for us

And the best part...

I give you real-life examples of how you could mask and compensate for each symptom.

Listen—

I haven’t shared this material publicly because I’m super shy. Recording these videos (with my French accent!) and talking about how I experience these symptoms felt very… intimate.

In sum, the ADHD Symptoms Masterclass will help you get a complete vision of how your daily life (including areas that you don’t suspect) is in fact heavily influenced by your ADHD symptoms.

Listening to the videos will demystify anything you find confusing about ADHD symptoms. As a result, it will accelerate your transformation from shame to self-awareness.

Now... You may be wondering why I'm giving you this video course for free (after all, there are "ADHD Influencers" out there who charge thousands of dollars for their video courses).

The answer to why I'm giving this away for free is simple...

I’m offering you my ADHD Symptoms Masterclass as a friendly little bribe for saying “maybe” to trying my physical newsletter The ADHD & Emotions Letter.

Here's the deal: if you agree to a 1-month free trial of The ADHD & Emotions Letter (which will completely change the way you see yourself!) then, I will give you the ADHD symptoms Masterclass completely free.

And there are no strings attached.

Here's what I mean:

if you decide to cancel your 1-month free trial of The ADHD & Emotions Letter (at any time!) you still get to keep access to the ADHD symptoms Masterclass and all the other gifts.

These gifts are for you to keep forever, no matter what.

In fact, I am so convinced The ADHD & Emotions Letter will transform your mind (and life) that I've decided to "go all out" in enticing you to try it. For this reason, I've assembled four more free gifts you also get to keep (even if you decide to cancel your 1-month trial subscription to my physical monthly newsletter).

Here they are...

FREE GIFT #1!

Your Printable Emotion Glossary

(Retails at $25)

The first step to living a more harmonious life with your emotions is getting to know them.

This Printable Emotion Glossary of 28 common emotions is a simple yet powerful tool to help you practice emotional awareness.

Print it out and keep it nearby for those moments when you need a little guidance in identifying what you feel.

It’s the cheat sheet you’ll find yourself using every day!

FREE GIFT #2!

"Could it be ADHD"

My Bestselling Workbook

(Retails at $29)

When I first started to wonder if I had ADHD, I felt either overwhelmed or defeated when trying to compare the symptoms of ADHD to my daily life. So, I created my own resource to help those who were in the same situation: Could It Be ADHD?, my bestselling self-assessment workbook (used by more than 30.000 people so far!)

What if you’ve already been diagnosed with ADHD? Well, this workbook is still the best tool out there to assess how each symptom is affecting your life.

In this 143-page ebook, I guide you through 25 ADHD symptoms with real-life examples and numerous relatable doodles.

This workbook will protect you from the painful mistake of not recognizing how your ADHD symptoms affect your daily life.

FREE GIFT #3!

The Invisible ADHD Woman Guide

(Retails at $25)

I’ve been creating content online for years now. And there’s one thing that really pains me: all the women out there who feel like they are invisible (even in the ADHD community!).

Invisible ADHD women are:

  • Experiencing nuanced ADHD symptoms (and getting gaslit for them)

  • Masking to fit in (and being exhausted because of it)

  • Compensating to limit the impact of their ADHD symptoms as much as possible (and being told they are “not ADHD enough” to fit in the community)

The consequence is terrible: being an invisible ADHD woman is deeply isolating.

This quick 7-page guide includes a 2-page self-test, so you can see for yourself whether you fit this very common (yet underrepresented!) ADHD profile.

FREE GIFT #4!

The ADHD Body Care Assessment Wheel

(Retails at $15)

Because my life mission is to relieve people with ADHD from internalized shame, I had to create a resource about something that most of us feel embarrassed about: our body care struggles.

In this super simple digital tool, you will learn the reasons why you might find it challenging to take care of your body. Then, you’ll be able to assess yourself. This is your opportunity to finally be honest with yourself about how much some simple tasks (like washing your hair or brushing your teeth) can feel like mountains.

This tool is here to tell you: it’s okay to struggle, you’re not alone. And just like that, another layer of shame is gone.

OK, that's all you get.

To sum things up, I'm giving you the four products I detailed above FOR FREE.

Here's a screenshot of everything:

You get...

  1. ADHD Symptoms Masterclass (25-part video course) - Retails at $250

  2. Your Printable Emotion Glossary (14-pages printable file) - Retails at $25

  3. "Could It Be ADHD?" My bestselling Workbook (143-pages eBook) - Retails at $29

  4. The Invisible ADHD Woman Guide (7-pages guide) - Retails at $25

  5. The ADHD Body Care Assessment Wheel (3-pages self-assessment tool) - Retails at $15

I am giving you instant access to these products—for free—just for saying "maybe" to my life-changing physical monthly newsletter, The ADHD & Emotions Letter.

Why am I offering such an incredible deal? (I mean, after all, the 25 videos of the ADHD Symptoms Masterclass themselves could command two hundreds dollars).

So why am I giving you all of this?!

The reason I'm offering you these five products for free is because I know The ADHD & Emotions Letter will improve tremendously the quality of your life, and of the ones around you.

You see, I became a mother three years ago.

I was 31 (almost 32, as my daughter was born 5 days before my birthday on August 11th!). My partner and I had been together for more than ten years. We had planned this baby, and we were the happiest people on earth when we finally met her.

I was prepared.

...I thought I was prepared...

But the truth is, I was not.

I was crushed.

Crushed by the gigantic love I felt deep in my gut for this perfect little baby.

Quickly, I was also crushed by the lack of sleep, the anxiety of knowing I couldn’t protect her from everything, and the confusion of having to navigate this whole new life.

To put it simply: I was overwhelmed.

For weeks, I felt like I was living in a tornado of fear, joy, anger, anxiety, and sadness.

I was unable to trust anyone to care for my baby.

I was unable to ask for help when I so deeply needed it.

I was even turning against the person who was trying to navigate this chaos with me: my partner.

At some point, I thought our brand new family wouldn’t make it. It felt impossible.

That’s when I started to read more about parenting. I thought I needed to have better parenting skills to survive what felt like the most difficult time of my life.

One day, I read something that struck me:

"Being a parent is not so much about managing your child’s emotions, but learning to manage your own."

All of a sudden, it clicked.

I realized I wasn’t trying to survive the adjustment to being a new parent. I was trying to survive my own hurricane of emotions.

So I decided to learn more and more about emotional regulation, and about the way ADHD brains are wired to process emotions differently.

  • I learned to differentiate how things were, and how they felt.

  • I learned to accept my feelings, even when they were very uncomfortable.

  • I learned to express how I felt instead of pushing my emotions away, hoping they would disappear (they never do!).

  • I learned to communicate how I was feeling without blaming myself or others.

  • I learned to welcome the emotions of my daughter and my partner, without judgment, so that they could feel secure around me.

Every day, I practiced the things I learned, and every day, I felt better.

And every day, the people I love felt better.

Things weren’t impossible anymore.

Things were improving.

I could see that with time, I would grow.

I would be able to set a better example for my daughter, and avoid hurting my precious relationship with my partner.

It all came down to one thing:
learning to deal with my own emotions.

Now I realize how confused I felt for years.

I spent almost my entire life feeling controlled by forces I couldn’t name.

I felt blind.

I was trying to navigate life without a map.

I didn’t understand why I behaved the way I did.

I was trying not to hate myself, but I was ashamed of not being able to understand my own emotions.

I spent years trying to make sense of my reactions, but ended up even more tangled than before.

If you’re still reading this, I know you understand what I mean.

And I want to tell you something:
You Are Not Doomed To Feel Controlled By Your Emotions!

  • You can (and you will!) feel emotional clarity.

  • You can (and you will) feel intense emotions without letting them take over your life.

  • You can (and you will!) learn to communicate how you feel in a constructive way, to build better connections with those you love.

I have been there. I feel better.

You can too, and I’m here to help you.

I created my monthly physical newsletter The ADHD & Emotions Letter to guide you through this journey.

Your ADHD brain is special and needs special guidance.

Because your brain is wired differently I will explain to you how it works, but I will also do it in a way that's accessible for you.

Unfortunately most ADHD resources out there:

  • Don't focus on the link between ADHD and emotions.

  • Aren't made in a way that is accessible for ADHD brains.

Every issue of The ADHD & Emotion Letter is designed to help you understand yourself without feeling overwhelmed or bored.

By saying "maybe" to The ADHD & Emotions Letter, and saying yes to a 1-month trial, you will get the four (incredible) free gifts I outlined.

If you cancel your free trial (which I'm sure you won't!) you still keep all four products for free!

Every month, sent via physical mail to your doorstep, will be a letter from me, filled with relatable doodles, coming straight from real-life experiences.

The letter will pull back the curtain and give you an in-depth look into the life of a late-diagnosed woman who's committing to break her shame and take back control on her emotions.

The bottom line is this: My goal with The ADHD & Emotions Letter is to help you not only understand yourself better and learn to manage your emotions — it's to help you build the peaceful life you dream of.

You will get access to the most honest and ADHD-friendly resource out there to finally break the shame spiral you live in.

Each issue of The ADHD & Emotions Letter contains the most accessible and non-overwhelming material that you can immediately apply to your life.

Topics include:

  • What is your anger really trying to say? Discover the emotions and motivations hidden behind this very misunderstood emotion.

  • Do you have "Emotional craving"? Find out how your brain can trick you into seeking strong emotions to get more dopamine.

  • How to recognize and deal with Emotional Exhaustion? Understand how your nervous system works (with plenty of doodles!) to avoid emotional burnout.

  • Why are we so afraid of being vulnerable, even in front of people we love? Learn to drop your guard to build deeper relationships.

  • No more "people-pleasing". Learn to set healthy boundaries simply and how to make them stick.

  • How grief and loss can be complicated for ADHD brains. Let's explore how to allow ourselves to feel pain without turning it into torture.

  • It’s okay to feel numb. Uncover the many reasons this happens in your brain, from emotional overload to alexithymia.

These are but a few of the topics that I cover in The ADHD & Emotions Letter.

THE ADHD & EMOTIONS LETTER WILL BE THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU READ EACH MONTH!

Every month you can count on one thing: I pour my heart and soul into each issue of the newsletter. I share everything I've discovered about ADHD and emotions.

I'll share with you my honest perspective of a 30-something late-diagnosed woman trying to navigate her (busy!) life and manage her emotions.

And that includes personal things that I would never feel comfortable sharing publicly on the internet. I will write to you like I would only write to a very close friend.

You're going to get a behind-the-curtains personal look into my daily life. I share with you what's working in my relationship, with my daughter, and in my life overall.

That way, you can learn from my example and apply these lessons to your own life.

I spend hours writing and drawing each issue because this letter means so much to me. It's a piece of me. It's a treasure I hope my daughter will find in twenty years and learn from herself.

I want you to experience a more peaceful life.

I want you to experience emotional clarity.

I want you to let go of shame and guilt and finally discover self-love.

You deserve it.

We'll build these emotional regulation skills together, month after month.

Every month, you’ll receive a printed newsletter that finally gives you the blueprint of your brain and emotions. The one no one ever thought to hand you.

Every month, you will experience the excitement of my newsletter arriving on your doorstep. You will look forward to that time when you get to rip open a fresh new issue, sit down with a cup of coffee or tea, and unplug from digital distractions.

Don't just take my word for it.

Here's what my subscribers have to say about The ADHD & Emotions Letter:

What Subscribers are saying...

"Learn a lot from the newsletter"

I've been diagnosed with ADHD for about eight years now, and I consider myself pretty ADHD educated.

You know, I follow all the creators, I've kind of done a lot of ADHD therapy.

But getting this — so, getting this issue, I wasn't expecting to learn much. I just thought it was very cute. But I actually did learn a lot from the newsletter, which was really cool. And I really never thought about ADHD and the kind of emotion-dopamine connection before.

So I'm excited to also give this to my dad for Father's Day — I'm going to be mailing it to him as well so he can also learn more about it. He was never diagnosed, but over time has come to recognize a lot of my symptoms in himself.

Caroline

"Making a difference in my life"

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into it—it truly is making a difference in my life!

Having the physical letter to read makes the information in it more concrete for me, and makes it a lot easier to actually work on affecting change in my life.

My favorite thing about the newsletter is that it gives you actionable things to do at the end so you understand the problem but you also get to understand solutions and what you can actually do in your life to understand yourself better.

Rebecca

"Really validating"

I used it as a way to motivate me to go for a walk and explore my new city and sit by the river in the sun to read it! I often doubt whether I actually have ADHD but reading you talk about the low dopamine states in this newsletter (and most other things you post about) really helps me realize that yes, this is totally all exactly how I feel. It’s really validating and helps me put words to things I’ve never really realized or understood about myself. Thank you so much Alice! I can’t wait to get the next one!

Alex

"I’m already hooked"

Hi there!

Just popping in to say how much I adore your newsletter! This is actually my first time subscribing to something like this, and I’m already hooked. First of all, can we talk about how smooth and aesthetic the layout is?? Major points for making ADHD content feel so easy to read

and giving me a break from my phone.

Also, the animations?? Chef’s kiss. I get genuinely excited to see your doodles! They’re not only adorable but somehow always perfectly match the topic.

But what really hits home is how much I’m learning about myself through your stories. It’s comforting, validating, and honestly makes me feel way less alone in this ADHD journey.

Thank you for creating such a fun, cozy, and creative space for all of us with wonderfully unique brains.

Jocelyn

"Illustrations Make It Easy to Read and Understand"

First of all, this paper newsletter was a brilliant idea and the format is a delight to go through (nice quality paper that smells good 😊).

I've been reading and learning about emotions for quite a while now and I enjoyed this newsletter: Illustrations make it easy to read and understand - Messages and ideas are clearly structured I was able to read and enjoy it at the end of a stressful day which is great - I learned some useful info that will help me manage my anger better. The best bit is it will be easy to find this info in the future when I need it.

Thank you for your amazing work

Céline

"I got my letter!!"

I just wanted to say thank you. After a terrifying trip to the dentist, I came home to realise that my letter arrived. I took it with me to my desk and read it all in one go! What a refreshing read, I needed to hear everything it had to say. I feel so...accepted. This letter feels like a safe space. Thank you for sharing this with us, and your doodles are just so charming, some of them even made me chuckle.

I feel so happy I get to keep this issue and call it mine. It's sacred. Thanks again, Alice.

Robin

"Looking forward to the next one"

My newsletter has just arrived.

I'm so glad you started with Anger — one of my most emotional emotions.

I love the layout: lots of cream space for my eyes to rest.

The cream paper is so lush. The weight is fantastic, without the worry it will fade away. I'm now looking for a special binder for it, or even a box.

Your illustrations help me see the words.

Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you Alice. You are Amazing

Janet

"It genuinely felt like a treat"

Hi Alice!

I really liked the newsletter! Having to wait for it definitely added to the excitement and anticipation, so it genuinely felt like a treat being able to hold the newsletter and sit down to read it.

As always, I love the way you explain things — informative in a way that's easy to follow, especially with the cute and funny doodles adding clarification and examples.

This weekend, I'm taking the newsletter to my mother, who also has ADHD. I think it’ll be quite helpful for her — and I think it will also help her understand me better.

I like the balance of getting information to help you understand yourself better, but also getting advice for making your life easier/more pleasant (if applicable).

I'm looking forward to your next newsletter!

Michelle

"The best decision I've made lately"

Getting myself a newsletter subscription from The Mini ADHD Coach was one of the best decision I've made lately. Issue two just arrived today and I've already read it twice.

"My New Favorite Thing"

Hi I'm Jamie. I live on Cape Cod in Massachusetts in the United States.

Today has been one of a series of bad days that I've had at work. It was about anger — which is what most of my frustration is at work.

I came home to find this in my mailbox and I actually totally forgot I ordered it. I just read it and I love it. It's like my new favorite thing.

I put it in a binder so I know exactly where it is — unlike all the little things I save from you that are on my phone, in unorganized folders all over the place.

I'm very grateful for you and all the hard work that you do… so that people like me who still struggle day to day can understand and have better tools.

Thank you so much.

Jamie

On top of that, I’ll give you invaluable lessons to help you better understand how your ADHD brain and emotions work. These are things you won’t find anywhere else.

You’ll love the look and feel of The ADHD & Emotions Letter. The paper I use is soft, creamy, and thick. A real sensory treat!

It’s full of short paragraphs, doodles, and big full-page infographics so your brain never gets bored.

I know this letter will transform your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my first issue?

The newsletter will be printed right after the deadline closes, and then it will ship out during the first half of each month. If you're in the U.S., it should arrive fairly quickly. International shipping may take a little longer depending on your location, but it’s all on the way soon!

Is this a monthly subscription?

Yes! Once you subscribe, you’ll get one printed issue (12–18 pages) delivered to your mailbox each month 📮

Is it available for international readers?

Yes! I’m based in France, but since most of my readers are in the US, I’ve partnered with a local US-based printer, which means faster shipping for US subscribers and less environmental impact 🌱If you live outside the US, no worries, the worldwide shipping is already included in the price.

Will I be able to get past issues later?

No, this issue will not be available after the deadline. Each issue is printed only once, and only for subscribers who signed up in time. So if you want this one, now’s the moment to grab it before it’s gone forever!

Can I gift the newsletter to someone else?

Yes! (and that’s such a cute idea)! Just make sure to enter their name and mailing address when you subscribe. If you need help, just send me an email at [email protected].

Why $9?

This covers most of the cost for shipping and materials. I chose to have my newsletter printed by professional printers in the US, using the best materials available. It’s printed on thick 60 lb opaque paper, because I think it really matters that you get to read it on high-quality, soft-to-the-touch paper.

In reality, I’m losing money with this proposition. I’m doing it because I believe you’ll love The ADHD & Emotions Letter so much that you won’t want to cancel.

I know it might feel a bit pricey for a newsletter. But I truly believe we need to start investing in content that actually helps us feel better, instead of consuming free content that is just made to please algorithms or promote products.

Today, you don’t have to say “yes.”

You can simply say “maybe.”

Once you receive your first issue, you’ll decide if we part as friends or if you want to keep going with me in this exciting exploration of our ADHD brains!

Will I also get a digital version?

Nope, this is a print-only newsletter. I created it as something special you can hold in your hands, no screens, no notifications, no distractions. Just a quiet moment with a letter that feels like it’s just for you.
